A heritage to explore online: on 16 July 2026 at 11:30 AM, the Museo Archeologico di Artimino will host the presentation of the Virtual Tours of the The Etruscans 85–25 project, dedicated to Tuscany's Etruscan museums, archaeological sites, and exhibitions.
Created by AMAT – Associazione Musei Archeologici della Toscana with the support of the Region of Tuscany, the Virtual Tours are one of the outcomes of the Etruscans 85–25 project, the programme of initiatives dedicated to the promotion of Etruscan civilisation through exhibitions, events, research activities, and innovative digital tools.
The official presentation will take place at the Museo Archeologico di Artimino, in the presence of Cristina Manetti, Regional Councillor for Culture of the Region of Tuscany.
Thanks to 360-degree panoramic images, interactive points of interest, and multimedia content, the Virtual Tours make it possible to visit museums, archaeological sites, and exhibitions remotely, offering an immersive experience that is accessible to everyone. They provide an opportunity to discover and explore Tuscany's Etruscan heritage, prepare for a visit to these places of culture, or rediscover them from anywhere.
The digital itineraries guide visitors through the Museo Archeologico di Artimino, the Museo Civico Archeologico "Isidoro Falchi" in Vetulonia, the Museo Civico Archeologico of Sarteano, the Museo Archeologico del Territorio di Populonia in Piombino, the Museo Archeologico e d'Arte della Maremma in Grosseto, the Area Archeologica di Gonfienti, the MAEC – Museum of the Etruscan Academy and the City of Cortona, the Museo Archeologico "Ranuccio Bianchi Bandinelli" in Colle di Val d'Elsa, the Museo Archeologico Comunale of Cecina, and the exhibition "Anima Etrusca / Etruscan Soul. La fortuna del Progetto Etruschi", on display in San Gimignano.
With this initiative, AMAT and the Region of Tuscany reaffirm their commitment to making archaeological heritage increasingly accessible, promoting new technologies as a tool for knowledge, dissemination, and cultural promotion.
