Local museums and the territory. Forty years after the “Etruscans Project”
Data evento 11/12/2025
Forty years after Etruscan Project — a pivotal moment in the development of Tuscany’s archaeological museums — the cultural, social, and economic landscape has undergone profound changes. Today, local museums face new challenges, but also new and significant opportunities.
This initiative aims to open up a space for dialogue and exchange: an opportunity to reflect on the role of museums in the enhancement of archaeological and cultural heritage, and on their relationship with local communities and visitors alike.
This initial look at the current state of local museums is intended to lay the groundwork for the creation of thematic working groups — more focused and in-depth — to be activated over the course of the coming year.
